Financing A Film With Sticky Engagement
Financing A Film With Sticky Engagement was my topic of conversation with J.Joly CEO and Founder of Cinecoup and when I asked him what Cinecoup was really all about, he told me that is was to create a new platform who’s objective was to disrupt the traditional way independent films are packaged, marketed and financed.
I must admit I was intrigued !
I asked him if there is still a place for the independent film maker in this present film climate and this is what he had to say and in the above video, J clearly not only thought there is a place, but that Cinecoup’s new platform has one of the solutions.
As his solution, he created Cinecoup and new platform which would take away the normal problems of film making – he found a way to finance, market and distribute movies in a totally new a different way!
I asked J what the new platform hoped to achieve and he basically had 5 objectives, one of which was engaging the audience way before the movie ever starts. See the video for more.
This interview is called Financing A Film with Sticky Engagement…what is that all about?
Cinecoup is actually a “film Accelerator” and they look for filmmakers with crazy ideas and force them to speed up the process of making a movie. It is not a film school, but rather a platform that creates incredible results over just a few months and you get cash at the end of it too !
It has a high chance of success !
One of the greatest nuggets of gold that I picked up in this interview was when J suggested finding the audience first, discover what they want first and then make a movie around that!
Brilliant thinking !
And they use the Cinecoup platform to excite the audience to sticky engagement to create a following and feedback from the audience before shooting.
To encourage the “calls to action” they put up &1,000,000 to the film that gets all the way through the process and comes out the winner!
The process is simple.
The whole process takes only 90 days – it is super fast and produces really top quality movies.

Film making is really tough and this new concept with Cinecoup, “but this model breeds a much higher chance of success” for the new filmmaker according to J.
This is a totally unique, new and interesting platform, the like of which I have not seen before.
